President Xi Jinping met with representatives of model civil servants who are in Beijing to attend a national award ceremony on Tuesday. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, extended his greetings and congratulations to the representatives from across the country. He encouraged them to stick to their mission and shoulder their responsibilities with dedication.

一切國家機關(guān)和國家工作人員必須牢固樹(shù)立人民公仆意識，把人民放在心中最高位置，保持同人民的密切聯(lián)系，傾聽(tīng)人民意見(jiàn)和建議，接受人民監督，努力為人民服務(wù)。

8月30日上午，隨著(zhù)最后一組鋼軌順利鋪設，我國首條跨海高鐵在福建省全線(xiàn)鋪軌貫通。新建福廈鐵路設計時(shí)速350公里，正線(xiàn)全長(cháng)277.42公里，全線(xiàn)共設8座車(chē)站。鐵路建成通車(chē)后，福州、廈門(mén)兩地將實(shí)現“一小時(shí)生活圈”。

Track-laying work on the country's first sea-crossing high-speed railway was completed on Tuesday morning in east China's Fujian Province.The 277-km railway links Fuzhou, the provincial capital, with Xiamen, a port city. With a designed speed of 350 km per hour and eight stations along the route, it is expected to slash the travel time between the two cities to just one hour.

工業(yè)和信息化部等五部門(mén)近日聯(lián)合印發(fā)《加快電力裝備綠色低碳創(chuàng )新發(fā)展行動(dòng)計劃》（以下簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)《行動(dòng)計劃》）。計劃提出，通過(guò)5至8年時(shí)間，電力裝備供給結構顯著(zhù)改善，保障電網(wǎng)輸配效率明顯提升。

China on Aug 29 unveiled an action plan to expedite the green and low-carbon development of electrical equipment. Within five to eight years, a marked improvement will be made in the demand and supply structure of China's electrical equipment, and the efficiency of its power grid will be significantly enhanced, according to the plan released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and four other government bodies.

Achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality are the intrinsic requirements of China's own high-quality development and a solemn pledge to the international community. China will honor its word and keep working toward its goal. We have unveiled an Action Plan for Carbon Dioxide Peaking Before 2030, to be followed by implementation plans for specific sectors such as energy, industry and construction. China now has the world's biggest carbon market and biggest clean power generation system: the installed capacity of renewable energy has exceeded one billion kilowatts, and the construction of wind and photovoltaic power stations with a total installed capacity of 100 million kilowatts is well under way.
